Problem accessing the FDW-EOP

ERROR MESSAGE: PAGE CANNOT BE DISPLAY / HAVING A BLANK LOGIN PAGE / KEEPS RETURING TO THE MAIN PAGE

1) Your Cookie & Security settings in your browser

In order to login in, you MUST enable cookies in your browser.

In Internet Explorer: go to the Tools menu > Internet Options > Privacy. Move the slider to either Medium High, Medium, Low, or Accept all cookies. Try logging in again.

2) Or to clear the cookies and temporary files.

In Internet Explorer: go to the Tools menu > General > Temporary Internet Files > Delete Cookies and Delete Files.

Note: You will need to restart your PC after doing the clearing them.

3) If your screen continually returns to a blank login page, you may need to click this link and install this patch if you are using Internet Explorer on your PC.

Save the file to you PC and run the file to install the patch.
 
Note: You will need to restart your PC after installing this patch.
 
If you do not install the patch, you may have to enter your login information 3-4 times before you successfully login.


ERROR MESSAGE: BROWSER COOKIES DISABLED

We found out that if you click the link http://esp.sp.edu.sg/fdw/ directly from the email that we sent to you, you will have this error message.

Please open a new browser and go to http://esp.sp.edu.sg or http://esp.sp.edu.sg/fdw

Login again your username and password provided


NO AUTHENTICATION CREDENTIALS WERE PROVIDED WITH THE REQUEST

The error means that you have JavaScript disabled in your browser, a browser configuration problem. Enable JavaScript (see below), then visit http://esp.sp.edu.sg again and try once more.

Much of Blackboard's functionality depends on JavaScript. With JavaScript turned off, logging in is impossible. So is taking quizzes.

Setting for : MS Internet Explorer
Tools > Internet Options >Security tab > Custom Level > Scripting (near bottom): Choose "Active Scripting: Enabled".

Also, while you're here: below that, under User Authentication, choose : "Prompt for username and password".

Setting for Mozilla/Netscape
Advanced > Scripts & Plugins. Choose "Enable JavaScript for: Navigator".


INTERNAL SERVER ERROR

This error will appear if you have closed the browser without clicking on LOGOUT button. This is due to persistent cookies set by the application.

Please do the following step to clear the cookies and temporary files in order to login again

In Internet Explorer: go to the Tools menu > General > Temporary Internet Files > Delete Cookies and Delete Files.

Remeber to click LOGOUT icon after using.


AN ERROR OCCURRED WHILE THE SYSTEM WAS PROCESSING THIS LOGIN REQUEST

This one means that you have typed in a wrong username. Please check the correct username that was given to you.


COULD NOT LOGIN. VALID AUTHENTICATION CREDENTIALS WERE NOT PROVIDED

This means that the password you typed in is incorrect.  The system found your username in the system, but couldn't match up what you typed in the password box in the system.  Try re-typing in your password again, and make certain that you don't have Caps Lock on by mistake! Passwords are case sensitive.


AN ERROR OCCURRED IN THE AUTHENTICATION MODULE.: ERROR OCURRED WHILE TRYING TO LOOKUP THE CURRENT SESSION IN THE DATABASE.

This error indicates that the server was unable to set a cookie on your computer, which it uses to keep track of who you are as you navigate through your course.  The system requires the use of cookies, so you will need to change the settings on your computer to allow this.

If you are using Internet Explorer: go to the Tools menu > Internet Options > Privacy. Move the slider to either Medium High, Medium, Low, or Accept all cookies. Try logging in again.


THE FONT SIZE IS TOO SMALL FOR ME TO VIEW

Pls check the size of the IE browser you are using:

View > Text Size > Medium
